February Monthly Gathering - Border Jazz Orchestra Valentine's Day Concert

Enjoy the Border Jazz Orchestra’s Valentine’s Day concert, hosted by the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society LAS CRUCES, NM – Grab your valentine and make your way to the Atkinson Recital Hall on Feb. 14 for a special Valentine’s Day concert by the Border Jazz Orchestra, hosted by the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society. The BJO concert will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 on the New Mexico State University main campus and take the place of the MVJBS’s monthly meeting and performance.

The Valentine’s Day concert will feature BJO’s own Jessika Brust and her trio “The Ivory Jazz Foxes” in Jessika’s own arrangements of WWII’s “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and Pat Ballard’s “Mr. Sandman.” The BJO is honoring Jessika for her service and retirement from the U.S. Army and wish her farewell as she returns to Philadelphia to pursue her musical career.
