The Derrick Lee Group will bring contemporary jazz to the Alma de Arte stage at the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society gathering in March. Group leader and vibes player Derrick Lee will be joined by Miguel Torres - piano; David Rodriguez - bass; and Eddie Provencio - drums.  They’ll be playing modern jazz works by Kendrick Scott, Conrad Herwig, Walter Smith III, and more. 

   Derrick Lee says, “These are some of the best musicians to be found anywhere in the world, and we are lucky to have them in our area. It will feature top tier performances by these gentlemen on some of the most respected and difficult music in the modern jazz repertoire. These three players are a great reason not to miss this concert.”

Audience members can join the MVJBS at 6:30 p.m. on Mar 16, 2025 at Alma D’Arte Charter High School. A dessert social will kick off the festivities followed by music at 7 pm.
