The Mesilla Valley Jazz & Blues Society is a registered nonprofit organization. It was established in 2006. Listeners as well as musicians are welcome.

The Society meets the third Sunday of each month. Due to our mission to promote Jazz and Blues, we feature a live music performance at each meeting. There is a fee for the meeting and moneys are paid to the band. Every second Thursday of the month, the Society sponsors a jazz Jam Session at Mom's Coffee, University Ave., for middle school, high school, college students, and adults. MVJS provides a rhythm section of local professional musicians. The Society supports talented musicians through our scholarship funds which are: the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society Bob Burns Scholarship and the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society Helen Sachs Helder Vocal Jazz Scholarship.

Mom’s Coffee and MVJBS Jazz Jams are held the 2nd Thursday of each month throughout the year (except May). Please put this reoccurring date on your calendarand we hope to see you at this one….Thursday, Feb. 13 at Mom’s Coffee!!! The jamming is from 6:30 to 8:30 pm MST. Whether a listener or musician, seasoned or developing, the fun awaits you at Mom's Coffee Jazz Jam. A full menu is offered, so make plans to have dinner and enjoy a baked treat for dessert. Mom’s Coffee is located at 1001 E University Ave Ste D-2, Las Cruces, NM. MVJBS is a proud co-host and sponsor! Jamming musicians are strongly encouraged to register. About our monthly meetings:

For those of you new to MVJBS, our monthly meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. from March through October, and at 3:30 p.m. November through February. A VERY brief business session at the beginning is followed by a different Jazz/Blues performance each month. A thirty minute social gathering precedes
each meeting.

Meetings are $5 for members, $10 for non-members. You might want to join! Annual dues are $25 individual-$40 family-$5 student.
You can pay your 2025 Membership Dues at any meeting using cash, check or credit card.
Half year special: After July 1, membership for 2025 will be
half-price.
